2024 Event

It is always my privilege and my sincere pleasure to show my support of our Military men and women by hosting the Dan McCarthy Annual Charity Golf Outing benefiting the “Tee It Up for the Troops”, Organization. This was our 13th.

Saturday the 15th of June turned out to be an absolute perfect golf day weather wise here in West Michigan for a sellout event of 124 players. 63 degrees at 5:30am when the set up crew arrives, and a High of 86*later and very sunny.

Allegan Fire Dept. beat me there again, all set up when I rolled in at 5:30. The 50 foot American flag illuminated, as you turned in the property. Air Force National Guard for our flag raising ceremony, with “Chris Stapleton” singing the National Anthem, as he finished his last few words 3- P-34’s (The Flying Hooligans Flight Team) flew overhead and came back 3 times for a bit of an air show for Tee It Up for the Troops 20th Anniversary.

Major Don Brumly comes every year from San Diego, CA. a great friend of this outing. His partner team of Veterans team WON 1st place this year with a spectacular finish, tied up Shouldice Sheet Metal Fabricators with a spectacular finish., both eagled same hole, had to go to next hole where one birdied and the other parred, what a round….

Finished off with a great Banquet, with fantastic door prizes, netting about $12,200 for a 13 year total of approximately $148,000 to 501C-3 Veteran Charities. Tee It Up for the Troops has been voted the #1 Veterans Charity in America these past 3 years in a row. This golf outing has be partnered with them for 10 years now.
